Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The submission has not been published and is not currently under consideration with any other journal(s).
• We have thoroughly gone through the Submission Guidelines, before proceeding with the submission of our manuscript. We have identified the article type of our submission and prepared the manuscript file accordingly.
• The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format, while the figures/charts are in black and white in jpg/jpeg format. [Figures/charts in colour will be made available online only]
• The corresponding author has filled out the standard IJME cover letter. A scanned copy of the same, duly signed by all authors, will be submitted during the submission process.
• The text in the manuscript file is single-spaced; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; and employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses). The manuscript file contains the submission title, co-authors' names, abstract and keywords (as per article types), the main text of the article, and the references in Vancouver referencing style format. All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed at the end, after the references.
• Where available, DOI links to referenced articles have been provided. In the rest cases, URLs for the references have been provided. [You can refer to these APA style guidelines for DOIs and URLs to understand their usage properly.]
• The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Submission Guidelines.
• The ICMJE Disclosure form has been filled and signed by all authors individually, while all the files are being submitted together by the corresponding author during this submission process.
• We provide the copyright for the published manuscript to the IJME.
• The submission is our original work and is free of plagiarism of any kind. We have taken all relevant consent, if and where required.
• We confirm that all the co-authors have contributed sufficiently as per the ICMJE guidelines to be eligible for authorship in the submission made to the IJME and state that each of us is equally responsible and accountable for the entire content of the submission.
• On behalf of all the co-authors, I as the corresponding author confirm that the information provided during this process is correct.
